finally have some spare time for the needleworks~~

i was tired and didn't bother to set the proper white balance.
the name is indeed in "purple'.

i originally visited the supervisor of my previous workplace last sunday. but unfortunately she was sick. would visit her and her new born baby later. this cross stitched piece was made with the 25ct evenweave cloth. though it takes a longer time, i like it much more than the usual 14ct cloth.

sucessfully made the buttons using the tools i bought at $10 shop. embroidered two birds. not very nice. will try other patterns next time. but i guess it looks better in the picture, using the special camera effect of iphone =p

this is soooo touching... it still makes me cry no matter how many times i've watched...

i'm so tired... finally got a better sleep last night~

was in singapore for a week~ the lion king musical there was soooo great! i was like a child watching, feeling amazed and laughing in the show~ i enjoyed it sooo much!!




i've spent so much on the lion king gifts. bought zazu, pumpa, and timon back home.
simba and nana won't be as lonely as before. =)



before i went to singapore, i've made the aloe vera soothing mist and gel mask.
and it's a wise choice for me to make that before my trip.
coz the sun there rily killed me!

after coming back to hk, it was then a few busy days on work and sj. coz the new program on work started. and guess i won't have much time for handcrafts till the next public holidays come. but i'm not blaming on this. indeed, i gain much satisfaction from work these days. and feel so great that my supervisor recognizes my efforts by giving me an "excellent" in my annual appraisal~ he said i'm the second one to obtain this high score from him throughout these sixteen years... i'm rily rily delighted~! though there's still a long way to go, before i become as smart as him.

i've been searching for embroidery ideas only on japanese magazines, books and websites before~ but i've found this Sublime Stitching from the States which rocks!! and it accepts international orders!!!

here's another piece i made this week. i bought the bag at the $10 shop. and then added the lace at the bottom. and cross stitched the pattern i found on idees.  no more dark blue for my embroidery work next time. getting bored with it.

here's the first toner i made. have used the rose geranium hydrosol , which smells like the fruit jelly. and then add a bit of aloe vera extracts and mori cortex extracts. these two help soothing the burnt skin and preventing freckles. this is gonna be my "magic water" in summer! and i've also added some hyaluronic acid which is essential for hydrating skin~ at first, i wanna stick the label stating the ingredients used on the bottle as usual. but at last gave it up, coz i thought it looks better the way it is now. and coz i still couldn't find suitable water-proof materials to use as label.

can finally make use of this beautiful lace tape.
i think it matches well with the blue bottle.

Another stuff i worked on this weekend is this mirror set. have finished the embroidery part. but found it extremely difficult in understanding the instruction in japanese for the next step!! don't know why... i become an idiot when it comes to sewing. hope i can figure it out and finish it this week. may ask my dear japanese friend to explain to me if i can see her tomorrow night.

i'm happy to know that my japanese friend could finallly reach her relatives in japan. the news about the earthquake and tsunami is heartbreaking. many ppl said it's even more terrible than wht we saw in movie. of course... the power of natural force is never within our imagination. it reminds us how humble men should be. my thoughts and prayers r with those affected in christchurch, japan, and yunnan... and let's pray that the nuclear plant

have bought a very beautiful bracelete last friday. can't put it down after i saw it at the shop. it seems i've seen my friend wearing its ring before. but anyway, i adore this bracelete much more~  since it's just gold coated, not rily made of gold, i can't wear it too often as it might change its color easily. so, i'll keep it in my accessoriesss box and wear it only on special occassion.

and on the same day, i've also bought a shirt from muji. esp like its round collar. yesterday, i embroidered my initial on it. but sadly, i've ruined it... not as nice as the one i made before...  it's now in the washing machine... would take picture of it later and share here my not too successful handmade experience~

today, i've found this magazine at page one! all the cross stitch and embroidery patterns in the book r sooo pretty~~ it worths reading it hundred times!! and it also introduces many cross stitch lovers. will check out all their websites and blogs!
